This vulnerability could expose the VMAX Virtual Appliance to be potentially compromised by malicious users. Details: EMC Unisphere for VMAX Virtual Appliance is affected by an Arbitrary File Upload vulnerability. A certain HTTP servlet in vApp Manager accepts files from an unauthenticated client and uses the file path provided by the client to form the path on the server and writes the file to that path as the root user. An attacker could exploit this scenario to write arbitrary files to arbitrary paths as root user and compromise the system.
