another daily dose of zan, the previous mailing was the pro-lougue: this 
is chapter 1: History and beyond.


-Another World-
         the old pre-internet pyramid structure of information 
dissemination; built like the roman catholic church, with 
divnity coming from the top down,
         god->pope->priest->congregation(sheeple?).
         media mogul->television->@home viewers.

-Another Time-
        the old fuedal media lords tried and were able to, for a while, 
force the old mold on the new frontier, 
millionares were made into billionares with high powered ads, badly 
coded websites and fancy accounting.

         FUD abounded in the security industry, "i can break any network 
in the world" was the call from dilluded                 sellouts (to 
congress). millionares were made out of whitehats, preying on this fear 
and gathering thier tools         from the "scene"

-In The Age Of Wonder-
         they did not understand the essence of this new world, the 
essential structure of the new media dictates that         it is and 
forever will be a guerilla medium, quickly the boring a repetative fade 
into the background and                 shocking displays of gut 
wrenching emotion and action have thier 15 minutes of fame.

         these flares become the ephmeral stars on the stage, upstaging 
the pre-digested cud of sanitized media.

-This Land Was Green & Good-
         big budgets and high powered customers allowed the old guard to 
keep thier control and reap huge rewards
         from this vigrin land, the eyeballs of the masses were thier 
currency and they traded/sold them freely, by             over-paying 
for sickeningly sweet eye candy completly devoid of usefull information.

         the whitehats have bred a new culture of hackers to belive that 
the real hack ethic is one of "information                freedom" and 
while yes this is true, this does not translate into "give us your codez"

-Until The Crystal Cracked-
         dot-boom; everything came crashing down, thoose eyeballs 
betrayed thier masters and did not provide                 adeqate 
return on investment, the moguls turned on each other and quickly 
reverted into facsits defense                 mode->lie. cover 
everything up, play games with number "they're too stupid to know anyways"

         the hackers began to wake up, look around themselves and see 
the cesspool of greed, treachery and lies that         surrounded them 
and corrupted thier ideals, no longer would they be animals of pack.

-Once More They Will Replenish Themselves-
         they've infiltrated even this, newly liberated resistance 
front, perpetrating thier lies and false hoods. who             were 
thought we the saviors are nothing but judas

-Cheat death again-
