Subject: USDOJ BRAINWASHING TECHNIQUES

what's funnier to me, is how the graphics are arranged on the main page
http://www.usdoj.gov/kidspage/ so it looks like this sentence: "FBI Kids
and Youth 10 most wanted Civil Rights. Get it straight."

but seriously....

http://www.cybercrime.gov/rules/cybercitizen2.htm

"My friend Quentin brags that he can break into any computer there is! He
figures out how to get into a computer network, and then he can read
anybody's e-mail or even send fake e-mail from someone else's account. He
says this is really fun, and he wants me to help him get into the computer
at school."
What would you do?

Click on one of the following choices:

A. Take Quentin to talk with a grown-up that you trust who will help to
convince Quentin not to do this.
B. Help Quentin get into the computer system, but stop him from doing any
damage.
C. Help Quentin get into the computer system, and then play "joke" on people
by changing their grades.

which is the answer you'd choose from the few options you have which don't
reflect the array of options you really have in real life?

would you "hop the fence" so to speak and take a look around with your
buddy? ignoring the "no trespassing" signs and only reacting to the shotgun
warning blast and the farmer yelling "Get off my property!"?

or would you try and help Quentin realize that it is not his property, he
has no business there, and you two should hit the arcade?

i see no brainwashing here, just a poorly designed and executed site with
the usual thin scope of action you see in all these sort of morality tests.
