Nope, we're quite sure the Taliban didn't want us. Nor did the Ba'ath
Saddam Hussein loyalists. Nor, for that matter, did the Nazis, or
Hirohito's cronies, or Mussolini's. Evil people don't like us much.
I'm comfortable with that.

Because we support Israel's right to exist, and refuse to make it
illegal for our companies to do business in other countries.

Because if they piss off the Swiss, the Swiss might crack down on the
laws that are facilitating their communications:

Or the lax banking laws that allow them to launder their bioweapons
transactions with Russia:

You really need to watch the news more. Germany and France both have
huge problems with Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad; you know, the
groups that Saddam Hussein supports.

Your information about the Kurds is mistaken, but I understand very
clearly why we supported him against the Iranians, and have no more
moral issue with it than I have with us supporting Stalin against
Hitler. I have some issues with specific technical details of the
agreements we reached with him, and I have a problem with the amount of
time we took before we turned on him, and with how long we took to go in
and destroy him after we did, but the initial deal was on balance a good
one that made the world a safer place overall.
