Hmmm... maybe it's because they want Bush to win?  Or, if an attack 
occurred, would that bolster Bush in the election?

These issues aren't quite so black and white as they seem.  What is 
black and white is that Al Quaeda want a Jihad, and they'll support 
anyone who will give them one.  Bush is their best friend in this way.

Alas, you are correct about what it might take to get people to stop 
using IE.  It's kind of sad.
