People are getting better at writing spam as oif it were a personal
message and
that is hard to deal with. For example I might write a message like:

Well I rather like Coast Commercial Bank they have great personal
service and
I have actually saved money because they gave me good advice. I might
even as
a short reply say: "Coast Commercials Rates are The Best!" Although me
being
me would usually go on that they seem to treat lots of people as if they
had at least
$100,000.00US on deposit with them.

So I could see how it would be hard to filter these messages. As a test
I sent this to
my other identity steve.kudlak@...zrights.org to see if it gets through
our filter, although
I probably should send it where someone else other that "Steve Kudlak"
is the message
sender. Oh well, I'll have to create a fake account somewhere for testing...

But I think that is the way Spam is going. They will make it seem like
when you send
email to your friend telling him or her you are having financial trouble
this month and need
a few bucks. I know the Nigerian scamsters actually are often people
with real writing
skills, and these scams attracts bright and literate types to be the
scammers.

So even though there is no secret cartel called "Intellispam" I can
see it headed in
that direction. Speaking of that there is this guy who published a book
who calls
himself "Spammer X" and they interviewed him on this local radio program
here
called "Geekspeak" on radio station KUSP. I sort of doubted the bona
fides of
Spammer X and think he was pretty much a scammer who knew a few technical
terms .and pretty much put one over on the publishers. I was going to
call him on it
but having done radiio I took pity on the show's hosts. Having callers
insult and/or
threaten guests is a real pain to deal with when doing a radio show.

Have Fun,
Sends Steve
