Subject: cloning PC / run in VMware

Hi list

For circumvention of a certificate-based authentication I thought about
cloning a windows pc into a image and let it run in a vmware- or qemu-like
environment. Cloning from notebook to another notebook works, the
certificate is accepted. Has anybody experience with cloning into an image
and let it run in a virtualization engine? Any hints welcome, thanks in
advance...
