Subject: [PowerPC] 2.6.30-git14 boot failure with SLAB

2.6.30-git14 (0732f87761dbe417cb6e084b712d07e879e876ef) fails to boot
on various PowerPC machines. Here are last few boot messages from a Power6
box.

Kernel command line: root=/dev/sda3 sysrq=8 insmod=sym53c8xx insmod=ipr crashkernel=512M-:256M
PID hash table entries: 4096 (order: 12, 32768 bytes)
freeing bootmem node 2
freeing bootmem node 3
Memory: 3897792k/4194304k available (9216k kernel code, 296512k reserved, 2112k data, 4287k bss, 512k init)

Hangs at this point of time. I have attached the complete log.
This is with CONFIG_SLAB(have attached the .config). With CONFIG_SLUB
kernel boots fine.

I went back and compiled few more kernel. 2.6.30-git10
(300df7dc89cc276377fc020704e34875d5c473b6) was the last kernel i was
able to boot. From 2.6.30-git11 (65795efbd380a832ae508b04dba8f8e53f0b84d9)
onwards the boot fails.

I will go back and check what changes between git10 and git11
could have caused this boot failure.

Thanks
-Sachin
