I'm not sure. I don't use radeon hardware, only Intel:
cat /boot/config-2.6.33-rc2 | grep -i radeon
# CONFIG_DRM_RADEON is not set
# CONFIG_FB_RADEON is not set

cat /boot/config-2.6.33-rc2 | grep -i kms
CONFIG_DRM_KMS_HELPER=m
# CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS is not set
