Subject: PROBLEM: in kernel 2.6.37 and 2.6.38-rc1, rc2. Suspend Fails

Hi , Im sorry about the format. Ive have 2 bugs they may or not be related,

Ill try to make 2 reports in one mail, i took the format from here:'

[1.] 2.6.38-rc1 and 2.6.38-rc2 hard shutdown when resuming
[2.] During resume after a suspend to memory the machine will immediately do hard shutdown. eg
when i open the lid on my laptop the systempowers off completely making me loose me session 
at best.

[3.] Keywords (i.e., modules, networking, kernel): kernel,resume,suspend-to-mem
[4.] Kernel version (from /proc/version): 2.6.38-rc2
[5.] Output of Oops.. message (if applicable) with symbolic information
     resolved (see Documentation/oops-tracing.txt) none,  but im willing to try at get some
output
[6.] A small shell script or example program which triggers the
     problem (if possible) none , but im willing to help recreate it , its just suspend to mem
and resuming.
[7.] Environment:
Ubuntu 10.04 customer kernel , bleeding edge intel IGP driver, but i have confimered that the
problem does occur on a stable kernel.

As told in the beginning i have a similar problem on 2.6.37 suspend and resume seems complete
stable EXCEPT,, if i have a plugged in  a huawei usb modem THEN, the system wont suspend but
rather it flashes the suspend light and then hangs there forever untill i do a hard shutdown.
