Date: Mon, 4 Aug 2014 15:09:45 -0800 From: Daniel Hoffman <daniel_j_hoffman@...ox.com> To: linux-kernel@...r.kernel.org Subject: What binutils version is needed for kernel LTO I hate to ask it here but I cannot for the life of me compile linux with these. It always kicks it back and says "scripts/Makefile.lto:76: "WARNING: Too old linker version for kernel LTO. You need Linux binutils. CONFIG_LTO disabled."". I am running the latest version from Ubuntu and it matches up with the latest version from gnu.org. What do I have to do? ____________________________________________________________ FREE ONLINE PHOTOSHARING - Share your photos online with your friends and family!
