This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled

    cpu: Provide smpboot_thread_init() on !CONFIG_SMP kernels as well

to the linux-3.16.y-queue branch of the 3.16.y-ckt extended stable tree 
which can be found at:

This patch is scheduled to be released in version 3.16.7-ckt27.

Subject: cpu: Provide smpboot_thread_init() on !CONFIG_SMP kernels as well

commit 590ee7dbd569a012df705a5204fc5f1066f52b8c upstream.

Now that we are using smpboot_thread_init() in init/main.c as well,
provide it for !CONFIG_SMP as well.

This addresses a !CONFIG_SMP build failure.
