Subject:

Kernel version 4.7.3 results in a kernel panic when booting, as does
version 4.7.4 and 4.7.5. Adding the parameter acpi=off will boot the
system but with very limited functionality, not very ideal.

The device is an Acer Cloudbook 11 with an Intel processor, its one of
those cheap cloud-based laptops. Similar models are on the market and
run similar hardware, so I wouldn't be surprised if this affects some
other models too.

I will provide any information you need to fix this problem.

Thanks, Cameron.
