As some were not able to reproduce this, some more infos:

On XP Pro (SP1), the hour glass appears and IE does not respond to anything.
I have to kill it through CTRL+ALT+DEL, and this kills the explorer, too, so
I don't have a task bar or anything else.

On my W2K machine, it just generates a blank page, nothing more.

Version numbers:

XP Pro: IE Version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
Updates: SP1; Q324929; Q810847; Q813951; Q813489; Q330994; Q818529
(this one has problems)

W2K: IE Version 6.0.2800.1106
Updates: SP1; Q810847; Q818529; Q330994
(this one does not have the problem)

On the W2K machine, windowsupdate.microsoft.com does not show any IE related
updates, although it obviously has another patchlevel than the IE6 on the XP
machine.

Spiro.
