Interesting read by security researcher Oliver Lavery on the Shatter vulnerability of last year, redux. http://www.idefense.com/idpapers/Shatter_Redux.pdf. 

Explores and explains why this is still a problem and that its the vendors that need to wake up and smell the coffee this time, not Microsoft.
