Message-ID: <200310272249.04090.chris.rs@xtra.co.nz> From: chris.rs at xtra.co.nz (Chris Smith) Subject: Off topic programming thread On Monday 27 October 2003 20:00, Mortis wrote: > I have minimum math skills, but I think I can do this one. > 1 person * 1 minute * $60/hr/person = $6. > OMG, did I do that right? Nope, 1 minute = 1/60 hours. Assume the rate is $60/hour. Multiply how much of an hour your using (1/60th) by the rate and you'll have the magic value. 1/60 * $60 = $1 $1/minute/person. Anyway, I know this post isn't helping the SNR of this list but neither is yours. The thread you were complaining about wasn't _that_ offtopic, they are discussing security practices which (IIRC) is a mission of this list (FD is a discussion list, no?). Cheers, Chris. P.S. your post took me 2 minutes to read, please deposit $2 into my paypal account immediately. -- Actually, Microsoft is sort of a mixture between the Borg and the Ferengi.
