DOS Weenie Mode ON:

Actually, the /y is a switch in the DOS format command... It answers the
"Are you SURE?" question with a "y" for you...

Quite nasty if used in a script for mischief...  Format C: /u /y would
format c: without waiting for anything.

It is one of the semi-undocumented 'features' of the format command since
dos 3 something I think.

Just my two cent worth...
