Message-ID: <405F80A1.3030402@egotistical.reprehensible.net> From: ge at egotistical.reprehensible.net (Gadi Evron) Subject: viruses being sent to this list -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 | Sure, if it is spread with intent to harm, which a virus/worm can easily | be argued to be doing when it propigates. | | However, I don't think you understand liability as it relates to this. Why | are you so gung ho to hold the FD admins responsible, and not the ISPs | that send out the worms in the first place? Their mail servers could be | configured not to send known worms, but they do it all day long. My intention was not to start a discussion, but as this is an open list and I caused it, I will now participate until we hear word from higher plains of existence (i.e. list managers). We can go into an endless discussion on liability. As FD is being used to spread malware, repeatedly, and filtering that malware is a matter of responsibility.. One would think the FD managers would do something about this. This is not about the infected user, the VX'ers, or the ISP's. It is about this particular forum being used to spread malware for a while now. It is time the managers, who have so far showed to be logical and responsible people, to take action and do what must be done.
