Microsoft has already created a national security risk by giving the
source code to foreign governments who are without a doubt already combing
the source code for vulnerabilities. Employing a bunch of coders at MS
to find bad code wont do any good. The problem is users never patch.
Most worms / exploits are created by crackers who reverse engineer the
patches to find out the vulnerabilities. The way people run their windows
installs is also the problem. There mostly run as administrator with
high privelages. This is Microsofts fault for creating such a weak setup
and then for allowing a user to run as administrator 24/7 without ever
warning them. I don't want to get started on an anti ms debate. But if
our government (USA) was smart (and I know they are) they wouldnt rely
on Microsoft products to protect their data.
