Message-ID: <009201c42fca$95688210$f6fe000a@Toshiba112> From: mnv at alumni.princeton.edu (Mike Vasquez) Subject: Fw: Sasser internet worm spreading - MS - learn your OS. > > Information from Microsoft about the Sasser worm and the > > security vulnerability can be found at: > > http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/sasser.asp Anyone look at the fix on that first link? Particularly: 1.. Click the Task Manager. 2.. Click the Processes tab. 3.. Press and hold the CTRL key and then click C:\WINDOWS\avserve.exe and c:\WINDOWS\system32\*_up.exe. 4.. Click the End Task button. When did they put in the capability to hold CTRL and select multiple processes? While i've wanted this feature for a long time, it certainly isn't valid on my WinXP box or the Win2k Srver sitting next to me. Bah. get it right.
