Of course, that is why the ISP selects the application to put on the CD
they do, they are familiar with thm and will support them, at lesat in
avaerage setups.  If not then it's time to find a new ISP.

Now, this does not imply they are going to do all the coding updates for
those packages, but, it does mean they actually should be letting their
customers know when there are problems with apps they have supplied to
their users and at least point them to places they can update them from.
And there are a number of mom&pop shops that fail in this regard.
