Yes. First, many of the best tools available for doing what I do are only available for Windows. Second, when what you do depends on the vagaries of a particular platform or the applications peculiar to it, guess what you find yourself having to use "most of the time"? Yeah, yeah, I could run VMWare, etc on x86 Linux and run all the Windows stuff that I "must" use under that, but what a waste of processor overhead, etc, when you are talking about most of what I do.
