From: frankdewit at home.nl (Frank de Wit) Subject: Re: IT Security firm hires the author of Sasser worm -just a thought- the best legal hackers (not me) came from 'the scene' and are still active there... the smartest legal hackers team up with 'crackers' and learn the trics from them fast (the shit is that the trics change every day :-) on the other hand, I would not hire a burglar to put new locks on my doors; he might just duplicate the keys so if you hire a hacker/cracker/whatever, trust him (or her) just as far as you can throw him and (ab)use him to improve your security or product. it's smart to hire a good hacker, but not smart to trust him in the end it's so easy... just don't trust anyone hojje!
