You can use Perl to search for the fields in the file and then hash /
encrypt all those fields and then transfer it across the network!
If the file is in a standard format with delimiters it will be fairly easy.
Make sure that the file is protected if you are going to use encryption as
the key is most probably going to be stored in the script!
You will need the same automated process on the other side to decrypt your
data if you require that!

Thanks

Subject: [Full-Disclosure] RE: Cipher Tool

Hello,

We are looking for a tool that can actually cipher or hash a particular
portion of a file so that it will not display the particular field of a
file. This will be applied to the file so that when it travels the network,
the confidential field in the file is not displayed in clear text. Due to
performance issues, we can not simply hash the whole file.

Is there a freeware or software or information, I can check out? Thanks in
advance.
