There's good and bad with both moderated and unmoderated lists.  I 
actually prefer the general chaos and freedom of the unmoderated world 
at times. 

Why?  You ask....

Because I don't always agree with moderator decisions to close threads, 
particularly on security lists.  Putting up with the BS like this, 
though it's a pain... is a bit funny and really isn't much trouble.
