small linux distro on floppy, will do multiple-pass overwrites 
(selectable number, default of 3). Good enough for 'most' uses, but 
dosen't deal with OOB readability or bad sectors. Will also leave ATA 
control tracks in place so disk is reusable.

If you want to *really* erase it, you need a degausser. This will render 
the drive useless on the secondary market because it erases the control 
tracks.
