  Writing a really good file wiper is a highly complex matter and there are 
many potential snags and hitches.  Eraser has been tested and is known good. 
Anything else will almost certainly have bugs that haven't yet been 
discovered.  You're on a hiding to nothing when the software doesn't even 
claim to offer half the flexibility or features of Eraser.
