Nope, you got kill-listed because you're calling for moderation of an 
unmoderated mailing list that is known specifically for being 
unmoderated.   No offense, but that pretty much invalidates the 
probability that anything you can say afterwards would be of much use to 
others.  You may in fact be very intelligent, and quite worthwhile to 
listen to... but this thread would not be evidence of that.

It's full disclosure.  Full Disclosure.  Use a filter.  Hell, even 
making your client view the e-mail index as threaded allows for simple 
manual eyeball filtering.  Almost all of the OT topics are rolled up 
nicely under their threads. 

But do not call for moderation of an intentionally unmoderated list just 
because you don't like the noise.  This is the wild west of the 
Internet, my friend.  Don't join open forums if you don't want to 
participate in an open forum.  Pretty straight forward.
