Subject: List moderation

>>From time to time some person calls for moderation on the
Full-Disclosure list. This is always met with responses akin to

- crawl under a rock and die.
- bugger off.
- go kill yourself.
- shut up.
- and many many more inflammatory responses.

There is but one response to these calls for moderation - It will never
happen. Full-Disclosure is unmoderated because of the failures of lists
like bugtraq which have become nothing more than patch announcement
forums. If at some point in time Full-Disclosure becomes moderated there
will be a new list created to fill it's void.

You are probably not going to get much value out of the useful
information that comes across the list if you are not capable of using a
mail filter. Your presence here as a subscriber to this list is a direct
result of your choice to join. Perhaps you should take some time and
learn about the history of FD and search for the many threads relating
to moderation for a thorough understanding. A good starting point would
be the list charter - [0]

If you are looking for the information that does come across list and do
not find it humorous to read small minded pricks then FD is not for you.
Might we suggest that you unsubscribe from FD - [1] and instead
subscribe to a list run by Kurt that is an amalgamation of several
security related lists and is moderated for content - [2]

This mail was written in a rush. If you have suggestions on how to
improve this mail or would like to add content to it for the next time
the moderation topic comes up please let me know.
