Subject: [FD] HID ActivID ActivClient - JasPer DoS CVE-2017-{5499, 5500,
5502}
HID ActivID ActivClient appears to include the JasPer library for
parsing JPEG 2000 facial images that may be present on PIV cards.
Older versions of JasPer have several known DoS vulnerabilities:

A smart card can present one of the following files as a facial image
to trigger a DoS ("crash") vulnerability in ActivClient 7.1.0.202:

https://github.com/asarubbo/poc/blob/master/00030-jasper-leftshift-jp2_dec_c
Organizations that use the ActivClient software may wish to obtain an
update from HID that addresses known vulnerabilities in third party
libraries.
