VNX Control Station in Dell EMC VNX2 is affected by an operating system (OS) command injection vulnerability that may potentially be exploited by an attacker to compromise the affected system.

VNX Control Station in Dell EMC VNX2 OE for File versions prior to contains OS command injection vulnerability. Due to inadequate restriction configured in sudores, a local authenticated malicious user could potentially execute arbitrary OS commands as root by exploiting this vulnerability.

The following Dell EMC VNX2 release contains resolutions to these vulnerabilities:

Dell EMC recommends all customers upgrade at the earliest opportunity.
