In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfc: nci: Fix uninit-value in nci_rx_work
syzbot reported the following uninit-value access issue [1]
nci_rx_work() parses received packet from ndev->rx_q. It should be
validated header size, payload size and total packet size before
processing the packet. If an invalid packet is detected, it should be
silently discarded.
The Linux kernel CVE team has assigned CVE-2024-38381 to this issue.

The Linux kernel CVE team recommends that you update to the latest
stable kernel version for this, and many other bugfixes. Individual
changes are never tested alone, but rather are part of a larger kernel
release. Cherry-picking individual commits is not recommended or
supported by the Linux kernel community at all. If however, updating to
