In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

thermal/drivers/mediatek/lvts_thermal: Check NULL ptr on lvts_data

Verify that lvts_data is not NULL before using it.

The Linux kernel CVE team has assigned CVE-2024-42144 to this issue.

	Fixed in 6.9.9 with commit fd7ae1cabfed
	Fixed in 6.10 with commit a1191a77351e

Mitigation
==========

The Linux kernel CVE team recommends that you update to the latest
stable kernel version for this, and many other bugfixes.  Individual

release.  Cherry-picking individual commits is not recommended or
supported by the Linux kernel community at all.  If however, updating to
