Yes, the patches in comment #15 will be merged in 2.6.35.  They are already in
my tree (although they haven't been pushed out yet as of this writing; they'll
be in the ext4 tree soon though).  I've negotiated with Christoph to make sure
there won't be any merge conflicts with the XFS tree (since the first patch is
going to be carried in both the ext4 and xfs trees).
