Message-Id: <1373493739-2243-2-git-send-email-jack@suse.cz> Date: Thu, 11 Jul 2013 00:02:19 +0200 From: Jan Kara <jack@...e.cz> To: linux-fsdevel@...r.kernel.org Cc: linux-ext4@...r.kernel.org, xfs@....sgi.com, hch@...radead.org, Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@...hat.com>, Al Viro <viro@...IV.linux.org.uk>, Christoph Hellwig <hch@....de>, Jan Kara <jack@...e.cz> Subject: [PATCH 2/2] direct-io: Handle O_(D)SYNC AIO From: Christoph Hellwig <hch@...radead.org> Call generic_write_sync() from the deferred I/O completion handler if O_DSYNC is set for a write request. Also make sure various callers don't call generic_write_sync if the direct I/O code returns -EIOCBQUEUED. Based on an earlier patch from Jan Kara <jack@...e.cz> with updates from Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@...hat.com> and Darrick J. Wong <darrick.wong@...cle.com>.
