I'll note that this bugzilla entry is a classic example of why Bugzilla is
considered such a terrible medium. It involves multiple ancient stable
kernels, and multiple users, some of whom have a different problem but who find
the problem via a web search, and pile on, adding noise to the system.
At this point my inclination is to just close this bug is "no intelligent life
here, Captain", and if someone wants ask for more help, they can do so
elsewhere. (Note this is not a bug, this is a support request for crappy
hardware.)
