Subject: VFAT and -O no_netdev

Is there a reason this does not work:
 mount -O no_netdev -at vfat

removing either -O no_netdev or t vfat works, the combo of both options
silently skips mounting(/etc/fstab):
 LABEL=BOOT	     	/boot		auto		defaults	1 2
