Message-ID: <bug-217965-13602-ImEeeNkric@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> Date: Sat, 23 Dec 2023 12:46:30 +0000 From: bugzilla-daemon@...nel.org To: linux-ext4@...r.kernel.org Subject: [Bug 217965] ext4(?) regression since 6.5.0 on sata hdd https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=217965 --- Comment #49 from Eduard Kohler (glandvador@...oo.com) --- Hi Ojaswin, I gave a try to your patch and indeed it fixes the issue. I started to compile a 'vanilla' 6.5.13 fedora kernel (latest available on F37) and tested it, just to have a base. As expected the issue kicked in. I added your patch, recompile it and the issue gone. Andreas, I am positively sure that I never set/change any stride value on my own. Mostly because I have no idea what it is and how it interacts with the FS or Raid. I don't know if it can be changed or it is one time set. So it was chose by the tool I used to create the partition or raid or ext4 FS. -- You may reply to this email to add a comment.
