I ended up keeping everything phys_addr_t.

Yeah, I did add more checks before the allocation happens.

Yep, I hope I caught everything (of course I need to check if the name
exists first).

I saw that and added:

	if (align < SMP_CACHE_BYTES)
		align = SMP_CACHE_BYTES;

so that SMP_CACHE_BYTES will be the minimum alignment.
