>From net/netfilter/Kconfig:

config NETFILTER_XT_MATCH_PHYSDEV
        tristate '"physdev" match support'
        depends on NETFILTER_XTABLES && BRIDGE_NETFILTER

so "properly" generated .config should be enough.
