For some reason that does not work.


  ../drivers/char$ objcopy -j .modinfo -O binary sonypi.ko 
  objcopy: stvfMiji: Permission denied

Why does it want to create a file there? This one works better:

  $ objcopy -j .modinfo -O binary sonypi.ko /dev/stdout

has more success.
