I know. Sorry for my bad english, I means MODULE's part maybe
deperacated, not uniform cdrom driver itsself.

For example  the module_init, module_exit and MODULE_LICENSE, I
remember it could be a standalone module in 2.4 kernels. But now seems
not possible. am I right?
