Subject: CONFIG_ACPI_PROCFS depreciated? new acpid?

Noticed that CONFIG_ACPI_PROCFS and CONFIG_ACPI_PROC_EVENT are
indicated as depreciated. Does that imply a new acpid is needed to
access /sys instead?

Thanks,
Jeff.
