Subject: Reproducable hang with 2.6.24-rc2 using oprofile

  Hello,

  when I run oprofile like:
opcontrol --reset
opcontrol --start
I just see (hand-copied from screen):
Using default event: CPU_CLK_UNHALTED:100000:0:1:1
Using 2.6+ OProfile kernel interface.
Reading module info.
Using log file ...
Daemon started.

And then it hangs the machine hard - no ping, no console switching, no
numlock led changing... The hang is reproducible (OK, I did a few
measurements trying to get a callgraph profile from kernel which didn't
work, I sweared at the computer, it got offended and oprofile started to
hang the machine since that moment ;).
The kernel is from Linus's git, last commit 6e800af233e0bdf108efb7bd23c11ea6fa34cdeb
which is from Sunday Nov 11. The machine is Athlon XP 1400+, 512 MB RAM,
only loop module loaded, .config attached.
