Nonono, that's all backwards! This is about having a 3.0 release BRING 
ABOUT world domination!

</tongue in cheek> and all but that was my point -- with a not at least 
ostensibly feature driven scheme you loose out on all the hype, press, 
marketing and, frankly, on the fun.

Really, find me a single Linux developer who wouldn't try just a little 
bit harder for a big 3.0 release. This is still a community, not yet a 
boring office schedule...
