Subject: Measuring boot time on beagle board with PRINTK_TIME
Hi All,
I am trying to measure kernel boot time on BeagleBoard.
I am using kernel from
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap-2.6.git
and tag v2.6.27-omap1.
I enabled CONFIG_PRINTK_TIME from menuconfig, compiled and loaded
uImage on beagle board.
and got the booting messages like,

Looks like, these times are not proper. I just tried to measure boot
time using stopwatch , it boots in between 9-10 Sec.
I came across corresponding bug in kernel bugzilla.
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10648
But, from this reports, it looks like this issue is fixed and is
closed. But I am not able to get appropriate boot times.
Is this bug is fixed? has anyone tried to measure boottime same as
this procedure?
Is there any alternate way to measure boot time on Beagle Board?
Thanks for any help.
Regards,
Shivdas
