Subject: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 61s! [kswapd0:267]

I was seeing this error after four to five days running  kernel  
2.6.27-9-generic from a default Intrepid install. I subsequently  
installed the latest stable release, 2.6.28.3, and now just saw the  
error after twenty days up uptime.

The hardware is a Sun x4500
