Subject: 2.6.29.5: MCE triggered by DV video grab

Linux 2.6.29.5, most things configured as modules

Every time I try to grab video over a PCI ieee1394 card, the computer
reboots rather rudely. It is 100% (4/4) repeatable.

This is an 8-core (2xquad) machine:
vendor_id	: GenuineIntel
cpu family	: 6
model : 23
model name	: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5410 @ 2.33GHz

I grabbed the following before the last crash (thanks, netconsole!)

----------------------------------------------------------------

CPU 4: Machine Check Exception: 0000000000000004
CPU 6: Machine Check Exception: 0000000000000004

And putting that into mcelog tells me:

-bash-3.2# ./mcelog --ascii <mce.txt
HARDWARE ERROR. This is *NOT* a software problem!

-----------------------------------

I realize that this may well be hardware, and not really a Linux
kernel issue - but I don't know enough to be sure, and any advice would
be appreciated.
