I'm wondering if kernel could enumerate DM devices automatically at boot and add them to /dev. It would be useful to enable booting from root fs on LVM partition without having initramfs. Maybe together with CONFIG_DEVTMPFS that could be made possible. Or maybe not? -- Ilari Stenroth -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to majordomo@...r.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/
