Subject: Re:Linuix-2.6.35-rc3, regression(s)
Greetings all;
The first thing I noted on rebooting from .34 to .35-rc3, was a blank spot
on my screen where gkrellm should have been. It had apparently crashed but
was still visible in an htop report. I had to go as root and use the
kde system monitor to kill it, at which point the screen area was repaired.
Then a relaunch seems to have succeeded, with hdtemps working, which is not
the case with 2.6.34.
Next, SwiftFox, uses http:/localhost:631/printers as its home page, and that
hung, could not access it. 9 copies of httpd are running. Restarting cups
gave no error on the cli.
I have for 2.6.35-rc3:
#lsmod|grep usb
usblp 11475 0
usbserial 32848 4 ftdi_sio
usb_storage 43974 0
usbhid 30505 1
hid 76025 2 hid_logitech,usbhid
usbcore 161642 9
ftdi_sio,usblp,usbserial,usb_storage,uhci_hcd,ohci_hcd,ehci_hcd,usbhid
For 2.6.34:
# lsmod|grep usb
usbserial 32714 6 ftdi_sio
usblp 11427 0
usb_storage 43462 0
usbhid 29833 1
hid 76473 2 hid_logitech,usbhid
usbcore 158935 9
ftdi_sio,usbserial,usblp,usb_storage,uhci_hcd,ohci_hcd,ehci_hcd,usbhid
So that is identical.
But only one of the two printers usb connected are shown here:

.config for 2.6.35-rc3 attached, did I miss something?
Also, I did not have the mandriva audio splash at login, so I probably have
no sound with 2.6.35-rc3.
